PromptNest Privacy Policy

PromptNest is a privacy-first Chrome extension. We designed it so that your data never leaves your device.
What data we collect
None.
- PromptNest does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
- All prompts, folders, favorites and settings are saved only in your browser’s local storage (chrome.storage.local).
- We do not have servers that receive your prompts.
- We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts inside the extension.
Permissions we use
- storage – to save your prompts locally on your device
- sidePanel – to show the PromptNest interface
- activeTab & scripting – to insert prompts into supported AI websites
- contextMenus – to let you save selected text as a prompt
These permissions are used only for the core functionality of the extension.
Third-party services
- The marketing website (promptnest-app.netlify.app) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics (privacy-friendly, no cookies, no personal data).
- Payments for PromptNest Pro are processed by Stripe. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to payment data.
Changes
We may update this policy if the extension changes. The latest version will always be available on this page.
